Hugo's preliminary hearing has again been postponed. It is now scheduled for May 10. This will give the newly assigned attorneys an opportunity to take some action.

New counsel will be appointed to represent Hugo Selenski in the Kerkowski/Fassett case. Due to lack of funding from Hugo and his family, Atty Fannick is unable to represent Hugo. Hopefully, Atty Menn and Atty Pike will be assigned since they are conflict attorneys and have a working relationship with Hugo. A formal announcement will be made soon!

Paul Weakley was finally appointed counsel today. Apparently, he will be represented by Attys. Galante, Nocito, and Wassil. Now the questioning of Mr. Weakley can begin. It shouldn't be much longer till we hear who is appointed to Mr. Selenski. That news may come as early as tomorrow or Wednesday. Looks like Atty. Fannick could not be retained for Hugo. Oh, well.

Several hours ago Scott Bolton was sentenced to nine to 12 years in state prison as a result of pleading guilty to the escape on Oct. 10, 2003. It is not known at this time in which prison Bolton will be serving his time. I wonder what he would have been sentenced to if he had not testified against Hugo at the last trial. Wonder whose sentencing will come next? I don't think Russin, Weakley, or Strom will be sentenced until after they testify again against Hugo. But, then again, who knows. Tina's charges are from the feds and maybe she will be next. I think her charges and this Kerkowski/Fassett case are separate. Does anybody know for sure?
