HUGO SELENSKI

 HUGO'S ESCAPE PARTNER IS SENTENCED

Several hours ago Scott Bolton was sentenced to nine to 12 years in state prison as a result of pleading guilty to the escape on Oct. 10, 2003. It is not known at this time in which prison Bolton will be serving his time. I wonder what he would have been sentenced to if he had not testified against Hugo at the last trial.
Wonder whose sentencing will come next? I don't think Russin, Weakley, or Strom will be sentenced until after they testify again against Hugo. But, then again, who knows. Tina's charges are from the feds and maybe she will be next. I think her charges and this Kerkowski/Fassett case are separate. Does anybody know for sure?

STILL NO WORD ON AN ATTORNEY

With the preliminary hearing scheduled in two weeks, there is still no appointment of counsel for Hugo. Will the hearing be postponed again or will the judge appoint an attorney soon? Is Atty. Fannick definitely out as an option?
What is going on with Paul Weakley's case? He cannot be interviewed further about the Kerkowski/Fassett murders until he is assigned an attorney. Why is everything prolonged in Luzerne County? Could this be another case that the prosecutors are going to try to delay for as long as possible? I understand the preliminary was postponed at the request of Atty. Fannick and not Hugo. How could someone who is not an attorney in this particular case ask for a continuance especially without the consent of the client??
Why do they bother to arrest people if they do not have all the facts in their case? Obviously, the DA had to hurry up and arrest Hugo on these new charges so that he would eliminate the possibilty of Hugo returning to society. Well, Mr. Lupas, you've got to face the facts. Hugo will eventually be through with prison life and will start a life anew. Let's get this show on the road!!!!!!

 DEMETRIUS W. FANNICK, ESQ.

Is Atty. Fannick being greedy in asking for $250,000 to get started on Hugo's next case? If taken into consideration the amount of money spent by the defense in the last case, it doesn't allow for much money left over for the actual work done by the attorney. Could it be that Atty. Fannick is not greedy and would like to get paid for his services so that he can support his wife and children? The cost of defense experts can be extremely high. It is a price that must be paid whether or not the experts testify at a trial.

 HUGO'S HEARING POSTPONED

The preliminary hearing scheduled for today has been postponed until April 13 due to lack of counsel for Hugo. Does anyone want to represent HUGO? Any lawyers out there willing to become as well known as Demetrius Fannick? A few years work is a small price to pay to become "rich and famous" !
Poor Hugo. Everything is a waiting game for him. By the time he gets an attorney and a judge gets the case, it should be time for Hugo's sentencing date. Once an attorney is obtained, a change of venue will most likely be requested. That should take us into the middle of winter. The next trial for Hugo will probably begin some time next year. More waiting for Hugo.

 YET ANOTHER DAY IN HUGOVILLE

IT APPEARS AS THOUGH "VALLEY" IS VERY ANGRY WITH THE OUTCOME OF HUGO'S FIRST TRIAL. UNFORTUNATELY, THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM HAS MANY LOOPHOLES IN IT. AS A RESULT, MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE ARE CONVICTED OF CRIMES WHILE THE GUILTY ONES WALK FREE. THE BEST EXAMPLE IS O.J. SIMPSON. DO YOU THINK HE WAS INNOCENT? WAS JUSTICE SERVED IN THAT CASE?
BECAUSE THE OUTCOME WAS NOT WHAT YOU WANTED OR EXPECTED DOES NOT MEAN THAT ATTY. FANNICK DID NOT DO HIS JOB. ATTY FANNICK IS AN EXCELLENT ATTORNEY AND PREPARED HIS CASE AS NECESSARY. THE FACT THAT MANY EXPERTS WERE PAID FOR THEIR WORK JUST PROVES THAT ATTY. FANNICK WAS READY FOR THE WORST POSSIBLE OUTCOME.
